Broken Already - Of Course!

Oh yes, he did!  First pair of glasses broken in 1.3 days.  Love this boy!

So glad we bought a second pair.  2 week wait for new frames to come in.  In the mean time we're also looking into Miraflex frames on the recommendation of a SB buddy.  Why didn't the optical place suggest them first?  I have no idea!  Grrr.  And who thought glasses were a good idea for a 24 month old?

  1. Golf uses Miraflex - it is the only type of glasses I would recommend for a child under the age of about 3 or 4.... Golf was about 18 months old when she got them, and they haven't broken yet (2 years later!) - See her first day in them here... http://maplehillacademy.blogspot.ca/2012/03/glasses-are-here.html

  4. Oh, those look like my glasses... and that's why I don't let my daughter play with them for too long.
For a 2 year old they seem a bit too ... ehm... breakable.

Miraflex are the glasses I was referring to in my earlier post.
There are frames out of flexible titanium as well:

Nevertheless he looked so sweet with the glasses.

  5. When my sweet boy first got his glasses they lasted 6 days. They disappeared completely, as in, it was Easter Sunday and he went off to play a bit in Grandma's yard and came back without them on....we're pretty sure they fell off and into the pond. We joke about a fish wearing them. He truly set a record for quickest patient to lose glasses....they give a 20% discount for reorders within the first 6 months. *sigh* He's my super sweet absentminded little man!

  6. Mason is really, really cute!!

I buy all my kids glasses at wal-mart because you can get a pair for $40 and they replace the frames for whatever reason for the first year.
