Sometimes children make leaps in their skills or understanding and this week seems to be Mason’s week for that. I posted video yesterday of Mason in his Bumbo wheelchair and also a video of Mason in the dynamic stander we’re borrowing. He mostly stays in one spot rocking back and forth because he didn’t know how to let go of the wheels after rolling forward and readjust his grip to roll forward again. Today he figured it out AND I caught it on video. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteI don't know if you heard, but there was a "recall" on the Bumbo seats because of kids falling out. You can go here: http://www.recall.bumbousa.com/ and get all the info, but basically you type in a number from the bottom of the seat and they'll send you free straps that very easily add to it!
Thanks Carrie, I actually already have the straps sitting in my house. We've decided for now not to add them to his wheelchair because in the end we want him to be able to get in and out of it himself. He will fit this for a few years and because it is close to the ground he'll be able to get in and out at will, so long as he's not seatbelted. Until then we're being extra vigilant to stay nearby until he figures out how to get out relatively safely.

He is soo cute. He is so smart. He seems so pleased with his accomplishment and he should be. Awesome.
