Mason amazes me every day. He really does. He is unfailingly cheerful and lights up a room with his smiles and giggles. He is a strong little man who works hard at every physical therapy exercise we do. Today Mason hit a major milestone. He discovered how to roll over, despite the paraplegia. After the first 15 times I finally caught it on video.
As you can see, he’s got to work at it. He can roll back over about 50 percent of the time, while the other 50 percent he gets his legs into some frog-like contortion. Because he can’t feel them or straighten them he becomes stuck. He’s thrilled with his new skill.
What really amazes me is that this all comes just 5 days after surgery on his head and in his brain. He doesn’t let anything slow him down! Yay Mason!
