Healing Progress and Pictures

Mason is just over 2 months old and I realized it’s been a while since I have shared pictures of his healing progress.  The last post showed pictures a month ago.  Here is his back 3.5 days after surgery.  And here is his back before surgery with the open spine. Here is his head incision today.  This is where the VP Shunt was placed.Here is his belly, where the tubing for the shunt ends in his abdomen. Here is Mason’s back.  This is where the doctors covered his spinal cord and closed things up.  It’s healed really well too.Mason was doing some tummy time and he is working hard on strengthening those neck muscles. 

One last picture.  This was taken yesterday.  All my children from left to right in age order: Makayla 10, Joseph 7, Emma 6, Daniel 4, Oliver 3, Caleb 1, Mason 2 months.
